2nd Regional "Amin Mekki" training course : Human Rights Concepts & Mechanisms

It is with great pleasure that the Geneva Institute for Human Rights announces the Second Regional “Amin Mekki” Training Course that will take place from the 29th of August 2021 to the 2nd of September 2021.

The Amin Mekki regional training on human rights concepts and mechanisms is organized by GIHR, in cooperation with the United Nations Human Rights Training and Documentation Centre for South-West Asia and the Arab Region and the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Sudan.

The course that will take place via Zoom will host 40 trainees from over 17 countries in the Middle East and North Africa, and will be conducted by a group of experts and trainers well established in the field of human rights.

The regional training course was established in remembrance of the late Dr. Amin Mekki Medani, with the aspiration of continuing his remarkable work in advocating for a strong rule of law, good governance, better human rights protection and democratic participation.

Moreover, this regional course is an extension of the Institute’s commitment to ensuring the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms of all individuals across the world.
