It is with great success that the first training course of the Geneva Institute of Human Rights was concluded today in collaboration with the National Council for Human Rights in Algeria.

Funded by the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this course aimed to familiarize its participants with the preparation of reports on the UN’s contractual mechanisms, so that they can work to raise awareness and promulgate human rights. as well as the means of learning and protecting these rights.

The program also included notions such as the human rights situation in Algeria, the fundamental human rights conventions and protocols, a study of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the UN contractual mechanisms and their implementation. employment in Algeria.

The training also included a practical aspect; training in report writing was provided to explain how the Human Rights Commission was reviewing such documents.
