Mr. Mohamed Cherif
Mr. Cherif has been serving as a board member with GIHR over the past 10 years. He has a wealth of experience in journalism, where he has been the correspondent for Swissinfo /Swiss Radio International to the United Nations in Geneva from 2001 to 2014. During 1993 to 2001 he undertook the role of correspondent for Swiss Radio International to the United Nations in Geneva. Prior to that he served as the Editor at Radio Suisse International in Bern from 1985 to 1993. He has worked at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia providing translation services: German-French-Arabic for five years, 1980 – 1985. His education includes professional training in journalism and he is a graduate of the University of Arts, in Oran, Algeria. He speaks fluent Arabic, French, German and level first in English.
Mr. Nazar Ahmed Abdou
Born in Khartoum – Sudan in 1972. Present Position: Legal Expert (Human Rights), Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to UN Office and Other International Organizations, worked before in the Ministry of Justice as a Legal Counsel at the Sudanese Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law Department, and the Advisory Council for Human Rights (ACHR), prepared and presented working papers in many workshops, seminars and conferences conducted in the field of and human rights.
Mr. Nazar Abdelgadir
Mr. Abdelgadir is a human rights lawyer, working as Executive Director for the Geneva Institute for Human Rights, He worked previously as a Permanent Representative to the Arab Organizations for Human Rights (AOHR) in the United Nations and the International Organizations in Geneva from 2000 to 2004. Mr. Abdelgadir worked as a Consultant with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) for the Middle East and North Africa Region (MENA) from 2002 to 2004. From 1997 to 2000 Mr. Abdelgadir worked as a human rights lawyer with Asyl Hilfe Bern (Switzerland) and from 1993 – 1997 as Social worker with the Swiss Red Cross. Mr. Abdelgadir, is an International Expert in the field of the human rights trainings since 1998 for many International, Regional and National Human Rights Institutions, prepared and presented working papers in many workshops, seminars and conferences conducted in the field of and human rights.
